The World of HD Minicams...
is changing all the time
Prime Television has been supplying minicams for all areas of broadcast for over 15 years. When it comes to minicam facilitation we have seen it, done it, got the T-shirt, ironed out problems and perfected the service.
We would like to share that knowledge and experience with you and your team...

Halloween PepsiMax Viral
When Prime was asked to provide all the production facilities for a Halloween PepsiMax Viral, we knew we were going to have fun. Our involvement started with a pinhole camera requirement in a mirror. This wasn’t the first time we’ve been asked to build minicams in to mirrors (we’ve done numerous car mirror hidden cameras) but this was the first time the mirror camera was required for motion capture. There is something about scaring people that appeals to peoples sense of humour, we certainly enjoyed this one. The resulting viral got 1.5 million views so I’m sure Pepsi got exactly what they wanted. Completely unrelated and for a different agency, we are filming another PepsiMax viral this week.

Lidl Christmas Advert
The Lidl Christmas commercial has been very well received, with over a 100,000 views of the commercial on YouTube and over 12,000 views on how we shot it. This latest commercial is the second Lidl commercial using hidden pan & tilt HD cameras and fixed HD minicams. The first commercial was such a success that the agency kept with the format to create the Christmas commercial. We used 50% more Minicameras on this commercial, with six pan & tilt cameras and two fixed minicams to cover all angles of the diners at the Christmas dinner table. All remote camera operators had individual audio feeds of their section of the table, helping them to be on the money shot to capture the best comments of the products.

Pinhole Cams on Crooks
Prime has just finished another hidden minicam production involving hiding minicams on a crook. Thankfully this one was for the Kent police so we're well covered… so to speak. We used three hidden minicams, two body worn pin hole cameras and one bag camera to capture a pickpocket picking pockets in Dover. Only he wasn’t picking pockets, he was putting pockets; that is he was putting things in peoples bags and pockets instead of taking things out. The idea is that if a pick pocket can get things in to your bag and pocket that easily, then it is even easier to get things out. Prime was called in to add cameras and improve the results on the previous video, the resulting new video will speak for itself. Wait for it in a future E-news.
