David brings over 25 years of technical expertise to the TV industry, working as a Lighting Director and Director of Photography.
With credits from most major broadcasters including BBC, ITV and Sky, he has gained a reputation for rigging, lighting and working in difficult situations, including ships, aircraft and submarines and is considered an expert on lighting for greenscreen.
Lighting credits include “Tumbledown” (BBC), The Only Way to Cross (TVS), Age of the Gun (TVS), Songs Of Praise (BBC), London’s Burning (LWT), London to Brighton Rally (Meridian), The Collector (feature), Rolls Royce Phantom (commercial), Thomas (short film), Alice (short
film), numerous commercials for Channel TV, Sky News Special Reports (Paul Beevor) Time Team (Channel 4). Recently he has lit TC1 at BBC-TV Centre for the Virgin Formula 1 car launch to the worlds press.
Corporate credits include UK Atomic Energy Report, Cyanamid, Plessey, Marconi, ICL Computers, Royal Mail, Defence Research Agency (MOD), Quinetic, Royal Dutch Navy, Disney Channel (Winchester Cathedral documentary) Issues Ltd (Training programmes for Home Office) and many others.
He has also lit for many important interviews with subjects including Lady Thatcher, HRH Prince Charles, and HRH Duchess of York. Other personalities worked with include Carol Vordeman, Anthony Valentine, Norman Wisdom, Honor Blackman, Alan Titchmarsh and Richard Holmes. A notable credit was the first TV interview given by General Peter de la Billiere on his return from the Gulf War.
