Steve Whitford is a Hampshire/London-based, award-winning Sound Recordist with 20+ years experience.
He has worked across a whole range of program output for international broadcasters and a host of independent TV companies. His first love is documentary Sound Recording, and he has also worked for major Corporate production companies and their international clients.
He gained a BA(Hons) degree in Film/TV in 1983, and worked at a west London facilities company as a staff Recordist in the late 1980's.
In 2003 he won an RTS award for Sound recording on BBC2's “Fighting The War” documentary series where he was embedded with the Black Watch (7th Armoured) during the invasion of Iraq.
Since 2004, he has lectured at various Further and Higher Education establishments to Media students of varying Courses.
He has an unrestricted American "I" Visa, and a Full UK Driving Licence.
